These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of sharpening, repair, and restoration services provided by Sharp Mom Co. ("we," "us," or "our"), a sole-proprietor mobile sharpening business operating in Santa Clara County, California. By scheduling a service appointment with us — by text, phone, or any other means — you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use our services.
Sharp Mom Co. provides mobile sharpening, honing, and light repair services for knives, scissors, garden tools, salon shears, grooming shears, and clipper blades. Services are provided at the client's doorstep or at an agreed drop-off location within our service area.
We reserve the right to decline service on any item we determine to be beyond reasonable repair, unsafe to service, or otherwise outside the scope of our standard offerings. In such cases, we will notify you before proceeding and no charge will be applied.
Pricing is as listed on our current Pricing page at sharpmom.co/pricing. Prices are per blade, per tool, or per pair as specified, and are subject to change without notice. The price in effect at the time of your confirmed appointment is the price you will pay.
By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Sharpened blades, knives, scissors, and tools are inherently dangerous objects. Upon return of your items, you assume full and sole responsibility for their safe handling, storage, and use. This includes — but is not limited to — proper storage away from children, appropriate cutting technique, and use of each tool only for its intended purpose.
Sharp Mom Co. shall not be held liable for any injury, damage, or loss — including but not limited to cuts, lacerations, or other physical harm — resulting from improper, unsafe, reckless, or unintended use of any sharpened item returned to you. This includes situations where a person handles a sharpened blade without proper care, attempts to test sharpness in an unsafe manner, or uses a tool in a way inconsistent with its intended purpose.
You expressly waive any claim against Sharp Mom Co. arising from personal injury caused by the sharpened tools we return to you, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct on our part in performing the sharpening service itself.
By leaving tools for service — whether at your doorstep or at an agreed drop-off location — you represent that you are the owner of those tools, or are authorized by the owner to have them serviced. Sharp Mom Co. is not responsible for pre-existing damage, cracks, loose handles, or other defects not caused by our sharpening process.
If you arrange a doorstep service and are not present, you accept that tools will be left at the agreed location upon completion. Sharp Mom Co. is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to tools once they have been returned to your property.
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a doorstep appointment. Late cancellations (less than 2 hours before your appointment window) may result in a cancellation fee of $15 to cover travel costs, at our discretion.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to weather, equipment issues, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you as promptly as possible and work to find a suitable alternative time.
Mobile doorstep service is available within our designated service area in Santa Clara County, California, including: Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Stanford, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Los Altos, Saratoga, Los Gatos, West San Jose, Campbell, Santa Clara, and Willow Glen. Requests outside this area may be accommodated at our discretion and may include an additional travel fee.
We take pride in our work and stand behind it. If you believe an item was not sharpened correctly, please contact us within 48 hours of your service date. We will make it right at no additional charge. We do not offer refunds once service has been completed, but will re-service any item we accept responsibility for.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sharp Mom Co.'s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Santa Clara County, California.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
